Meditation has always been a key to peace. From centuries people have discovered many different ways of relaxing their souls. The skills put in effort by them and the techniques used, though different from each other, all come to the same point. One of the most effective and best techniques of meditation is YOGA.
Yoga is considered to be a divine knowledge which brings peace to the soul of the human being. One who masters the art of yoga achieves what he wishes to achieve easily .Yoga practice gives courage to the person to face the hardships of life and come out of them untouched.
1. What is Yoga?
What is yoga and how it helps? Are the mere questions asked by those who are unaware of its benefits? In general sense, the disciplined method utilized to achieve goals is called yoga. Its origination is from the ancient Indian culture.
The word “YOGA” is a Sanskrit word which means “to join”, or “to attach”. Yoga is the union between the mind, body and spirit. It refers to the practice of physical postures or poses.

Yoga was introduced to the western world in the late 19th century and eventually has become an essential part of society in some of the modern states of the world. Through the growth of science, studies revealed effectiveness of these yoga techniques to cure many diseases. Diseases removed by yoga like cancer, schizophrenia, asthma and heart problems. Long term yoga practitioners have also reported musculo-skeletal and mental health improvements.

Many people think that yoga is just stretching and sitting alone in a corner. But along with stretching exercises it is done to bring peace and relief to your mind through easy and difficult practices creating flexibility of sole and strength of body parallel. To do so, performance of different poses or postures is done. Each of which has its own specific physical benefits.
The poses can be made to create heat in the body through movement and to build stamina. These Yoga practices are not very much complicated and can be adopted into your daily routine very easily. At first you will feel that you are not very flexible but Yoga isn’t all about flexibility of body in actual it is done to relief the soul and put calm to it.

The yoga poses are a constant act, but the approach to them varies depending on the type and origin. All these yoga exercises are not only helping improve physical and spiritual health but also tend to be very full of fun and enjoyable when you are using some accessories to perform them.
Yoga practicing is very much needy of continuous exercise and develops perfection and reach a level up every time. Yoga practice also makes a man free of earthly desires to reach their extreme by separating the physical needs for a while. This eventually helps in the development of egoless spirit.
