Ensemble Hosts a Special Preview of ‘Sooti’

Manju Sara Rajan, co-hosted a special preview event of ‘Sooti’, an exquisite new line of saris by Raw Mango and Garments by Sanjay Garg, the label’s designer at Ensemble’s flagship Mumbai store at Lion Gate.
The event was yet another testament to Ensemble’s fervent passion for promoting artisanal Indian crafts.

Through this glimpse of Raw Mango’s collection, Ensemble showcased a new dimension to India’s traditional textiles and weaves, in tune with this season’s trends. The guests who came to the event included some of the city’s most ardent fans of Indian textiles and saris.

Maithili Raghavan, Ratna Krishnakumar, Maneka Thadani, Pratima Bhatia, Hema Patel, Aditi Kothari, Gauri Devidayal, Sangeeta Jindal and Mala Goenka, to name a few.
Speaking about the collection, Tina Tahiliani-Parikh says, “I have been a big fan of Raw Mango and Sanjay Garg’s work since I first saw his collection several years ago.

Guests attending the event were seen admiring the pieces from the collection which are inspired by the rustic beauty of phentiya (ghaghra) and developed using the age-old kadwa brocade technique of Varanasi,

Which features patterns that are etched in gold against a silk background, achieve a remarkable clarity of design with jewel-like enamelling.
