Brace yourself! ‘Aashiqui 2′ actress Shraddha Kapoor has shed her sweet girl-next-door image as she turns sexy dance diva – ‘Basanti’ in her first item song for the film, ‘Ungli’. The teaser which released earlier on Tuesday, created quite a stir. But now, the item number, ‘Dance Basanti’ is out and boy is it hot! Dressed in silver, we get a glimpse of the ‘Ek Villain’ beauty making her way amidst a cloud of smoke, looking sensuous and beautiful.

‘Haider’ is excited to be seen in her first onscreen glam avatar in ‘Ungli’. Composed by Sachin – Jigar, ‘Dance Basanti’ has been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, crooned by Vishal Dadlani and Anushka Manchanda. Talking about the song, Shraddha Kapoor said:

“I don’t know whether to call it an item song or a promotional song, but yes, it’s a very different thing that I am doing.” The actress also revealed that it was Karan Johar who convinced her to do the item number.

“Karan offered me the song and said: “You have never been seen like this before. It’s a very glamorous song.’ So all that excited me and I said yes to it. The moment I heard the song, I was all the more excited as it’s such a catchy song.” Directed by Rensil D’Silva, ‘Ungli’ stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranut and Randeep Hooda.
