Aarti Singhal, Shallu Jindal, Prerna Subba, Surita Tandon, Tanya Arjun, Devyani KhoslaDamiani, the Italian leader in manufacturing and marketing high-end jewellery, hosted a preview of the Damiani Haute Joaillerie collection at The Oberoi, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, New Delhi.

In addition to the Damiani masterpieces, the afternoon soiree saw an exclusive preview of artist Surita Tandon’s bejeweled art collection – Grace & Glory. A teaser of her forthcoming solo art show, Surita is the first artist to introduce pop-art in India that is bold and edgy, with a flair of vibrant colours and mixed media.

The skylight roof at Travertino, with the sun streaming in, was the ideal venue for the indulgent afternoon with amalgamation of Italian jewels and art.

The exclusive preview of the collection, unveiled by Shallu Jindal, was attended by Shalini Passi, Shivani Wazir, Neeva Jain, Anjali Chawla, Mandira Wirk, Manpreet Brar, Pushpanjali Chawla, Payal Kapoor, Kitty Kalra, Vandana Munjal, Seema Kilachand, Soni Aggarwal, Charu Munjal amongst others.

Devyani Khosla, Sales Director – Damiani India, said, “Every year through a traveling exhibition, Damiani presents its masterpieces – a collection of new jewelry, unique and authentic craftsmanship masterpieces. They are beautifully designed and exclusive items that are made entirely by hand in the Damiani plant in Valenza, Italy.”

Damiani Masterpieces express the exceptional quality of their design, of their craftsmanship and of the precious stones that adorn them.

The travelling masterpiece collection to New Delhi included the Damiani Mimosa marked with unmistakable elegance and femininity. The mimosa is a very delicate looking flower that hides strength and vitality, symbols of femininity and freedom. The Mimosa collection springs from the synergy of coloured precious gems and very pure diamonds, combined with each other like sparkling buds, just like the coloured flowers that bloom in spring: a delicate and classic composition, like the very unique flower that this collection is named after.

Another epitome of Italian craftsmanship on preview was the Damiani Eden masterpiece bracelet, a soft white gold and diamond spiral, enveloping and fascinating like a snake to live in a paradise in sync with the times. A true Italian masterpiece, elegant and seductive, the Eden circles the wrist in a precious and feminine way.

Damiani, who made their foray into the Indian market earlier this year, is the first — and so far the only — jeweller to obtain FIPB authorization to hold a 51 percent controlling interest in an India-based entity, Damiani India.
